MANUFACTURING ANTIFREEZE
Most antifreeze is made by mixing distilled water with some kind of alcohol. The most used alcohol is called methanol (also known as methyl alcohol, carbinol, wood alcohol, wood naphtha or wood spirits). The other ingredients are ethylene glycol (later replaced by propylene glycol, due to the fact that it was less toxic) and glycerol.
